White Christmas! (kinda)
Oh, and down servers. Looks like we had a power cut here. And the server wasn’t set to come back on automaticly….
Anyway.
Leonie and I headed up to Mt Ruapehu for christmas (read: get as far out of a city as possible), and my parents came down from Auckland, too. Lots of fun, nice and quite, and generally, a good time.
We went up the mountain (hence the white christmas – there is still a load of snow up there, and the ski lifts were going)
We even found Melty the Snowman up the mountain, and had time to chill out.
And we also went for a walk (in the rain) to Taranaki Falls. Leonie, mad thing that she is, went for a swim (keep in mind this water is snow melt, and the air temp was about 14 C or so). Mum also went for a swim, tho she didn’t intend to 
On the way home, the weather had cleared up a LOT (ie, no cloud), so we got some lovely photos of the mountains.

All good. Off down the south island on Thursday (so, one day to pack!) for PHAT 07, then around the top of the south island for a bit of a rest….. most likely up golden bay way.
