Xero in IPO

… already. While I’m not surprised at the timing, it does seem rather….. soon. Oh well – it’s not like they are lacking in talent at the top (Phil Norman is no newbie at this game, neither is Rod or Ali Grigg. For that matter, they are not short of talent in the middle, and I’d assume at the bottom).

One interesting thing, reading the offer (which is available on the ‘net, for download to anyone)

(hrmmm, ecto will not let me upload the image :( )

“the Share Offer is only being made to members of the public in New Zealand. No person may offer, invite, sell or deliver any Shares or distribute any documents (including this Offer Document) to any person outside New Zealand. This Offer Document may not be send into or distributed in the United States”

So, by me viewing it (in the US), have I breached some rule or something? If I was going to invest, would I be excluded, even tho I’m a New Zealand resident, working for a NZ company, in the US (for a short time)…. who knows :) I can understand why they want to limit it to the NZ public, but the last sentence seams a little extreme, especially as (and I’m aware this is rather pedantic :) ) if they host their site off the WIX (or in the US), anyone from Xtra or Telstra must “send” it to the US and back to NZ just to download it……

Just another fantastic reason for Rod’s Internet.NZ or NewZealand.NET thing – which I can’t find a link to now :(
