mobileAgent 1.4.1 out!
So while I was lazing in a field in West Wales, Apple approved mobileAgent 1.4.1.
The main new feature in this release is Receipt Capture.
Receipt capture is very much like adding an expense, except it pushes the captured image to Dropbox (or email), so you can use it when you do your bank reconciliation.
I’d love to see this integrated into FreeAgent, so an item can be picked from a list when I’m doing the reconciliation, but this is a good stop-gap.
Just pay for whatever you are buying, take a photo of the receipt, and forget about it until you need it at the end of the month. Nice and easy.

Receipts are a great new feature, exactly what I’ve been waiting for, thanks.
A little feedback, I just entered a stack of receipts and it could not have been easier, however on 2 occasions I have filled out all the info then taken the photo and used the top left “Add receipt” button to go back to main receipt info page, then rather then hitting “Save” on top right hit “mobileAgent”, which returned me to the main page but lost the receipt info and picture. I think the layout and the workflow are great, but a catch dialog asking if you want to “save or cancel” for anyone who has entered receipt details and hit “mobileAgent” button would help a lot.

Thanks Andy. I plan in making some changes in that area, as it’s a little messy at the moment. It’ll end up modal with a Cancel and Save button (not the back button), so it should be a lot more obvious!
